Currently, we host 1 destination per year. This trip is an International Trip (Passport Required). 

International Trips are 5 days and 4 nights or 4 days and 3 nights unless otherwise noted under the description of the vacation package.  Max Cap: 15 people

Trips are broken up into 4 or 6 equal installments with the first payment being your non refundable deposit. The next payment is 30 days after the last payment and so on until your trip is paid in full. 

EuMelanin Travel Packages are designed for people who want to make connections while traveling and having fun while meeting new people. This group is organized for everyone. Event suggestions can be added. 

Note: All prices are per person. Flights are not included, however you may request to have your flight booked by EuMelanin Travel (payment plans are available for flights). Deposits (first payment) are non-refundable. Discounted rates are non-refundable. Once your first payment is confirmed you will be added to the group chat via (Spaces app) of the trip you are attending. If you choose NOT to download the app and stay updated on your trip you will miss important details about your trip and no refunds or credits wil be issued.

Are Travel Agents Worth It?

So, you want to go on a trip.

What’s your usual starting point? Maybe you bring up Google and type in the simple query, “Where should I go on vacation?” Maybe you poll your friends on trips they’ve recently taken. Or, if you have a particular destination in mind, you immediately begin tracking down cheap flights and hotel stays. 

That was all fine and good prior to 2020, but travel has fundamentally changed due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and booking behaviors have changed along with it. 

In the past, travel agents were “worth it” based on the type of vacation you wanted. For example, if you sought a solo trip for a few days at a low cost, you could probably find a cost-effective solution without consulting an expert. But if you wanted to travel as a large group, embark on a luxurious trip, score a cruise deal, or go somewhere more exotic, then working with a travel agent was the right path. 

Now, travel agents are far more valuable, not only in booking vacations but also in providing guidance. 

You can transfer the time-consuming tasks of locking in flights, hotel stays, rental cars, and multiple stops to them, while also receiving up-to-date information on whether or not you should travel at all. 

Regardless of the situation, here’s why speaking to a travel agent is worth it.

 YOU DON'T PAY THEM.

Let’s start with this one because it’s probably what brought you here in the first place. While budget is always a concern when you book travel, you don’t actually pay the agents themselves. 

Yes, you read that right! 

A common misconception is that you cover your travel agent's commission. In reality, travel agents get paid a percentage from the vendors that you end up booking with. Whether you're looking for a personalized Disney vacation, or an unforgettable European cruise, there's an agent out there who specializes in planning it all. A lot of times, vendors will offer agents complimentary vacations so they can experience for themselves exactly what they’re selling. 

Even if it’s not a cruise or specialized trip, agents work on your behalf. They know the ins and outs of transportation—whether to rent a car, rely on public transit, or consider alternatives. They can tell you what nearby attractions are worth your time, and which to skip. And they can advise you on restaurants and fun activities based on your group size.

Types of Agent Payment Plans

Payment (subscription) Plans- are automatic payment plans for your trip. Most payment (subscription) plans are set up monthly however since the payment (subscription) plans are customized for each person or group, the payment plans can be set up for weekly or even bi-weekly payments.

Failed Payments- If a credit/debit card is cancelled or expires, or when there are insufficient funds to cover the payment (subscription) plan, the payment (subscription) plan automatically cancels. When this occurs there is no way to reactive the newly canceled plan, a new payment (subscription plan) must be purchased to keep you on your payment schedule.

Note: If any fees where assessed by the bank you will be required to pay any fees associated with the newly canceled plan. All money paid on the newly canceled plan will be applied to the new payment (subscription) plan.

Invoice Payments- one deposit (to lock in your rate) and then the remaining balance is due within 30days. In addition, the balance is due 30days before your trip starts.

Be advised prior to paying any agent payment plan your deposit your payment plan/deposit amount/deposit date etc. can be customized to fit your needs in most situations. If you find a hotel or vacation package cheaper complete a Price Match Request and we will match a competitor’s lower price so you can rest assured that you are getting the best value for your money. All vacation package components in your reservation and the competitor’s reservation must be identical. The comparisons must be completed on the same date. You must submit proof of the competitors price.

Acceptable Price Match Proof:

Attached screenshots with the name of the competitor and the price of the itinerary. The hotel name, room categories, and the occupancy of each room on the reservation. Travel dates, flight times, flight numbers, air class of service, and price. The date and time stamp in the corner of your computer screen.

All price match requests will be approved or denied within five business hours. All travel components must match exactly.

EuMelanin Travel Center uses open itineraries. Open Itineraries enable travelers to add services/activities/events to their scheduled itinerary (as long as the activities/services/events added do NOT overlap or interfere with their scheduled itinerary.

Note: There are absolutely NO refunds or credits given to travelers who misses scheduled services/activities/events because they choose to add an activity/service/event etc.

For example: If a traveler wishes to have a massage on May 17, 2001 @ 9am- 10am and there is NO activity/service/event scheduled for May 17, 2001 @ 9am- 10am then the traveler may book their massage.

I. E. The traveler should make sure their massage does NOT overlap an upcoming scheduled activity/service/event on the itinerary.

For example: If a traveler likes to eat breakfast later in the day and there is no scheduled breakfast meet time- then a traveler can eat breakfast when/where they choose as long it doesn't NOT affect the scheduled itinerary.

The Refund Policy is different for each vacation package. Please read the description prior to purchasing your vacation package to confirm whether your package is refundable. Unless otherwise documented under the vacation package details for the exact package you purchased all vacation packages are non-refundable. 

To be eligible for a refund, you must purchase a vacation protection plan within 48 hours of your order. You must read the requirements and conditions of your vacation protection plan and adhere to the guidelines. You’ll also need to upload the receipt or proof of purchase to the form titled “Request for a Refund.” 

To discuss a refund within the allotted time of your vacation protection plan you can contact us at eumelanintravelcenterllc@gmail.com. Please note that the DEPOSIT payment(always the first payment) is NEVER refundable. 

If you purchased a protection plan, you MUST complete the form titled “Request A Refund.” After the details of your vacation protection plan is confirmed we’ll send you an email confirmation with the details and verdict of your request.

Non-returnable items
Certain vacation packages are NON- Refundable however we have multiple partners who offer several vacation protection plans at an affordable cost. Please get in touch with us if you have questions or concerns.

Change Fees
Certain vacation packages have a “no change policy” attached with them. This simply means you CAN’T make any changes to your vacation package at the rate your were quoted. All changes require at least 48 hours advance notice of your trip and a $25–$50 fee per change will be incurred. 

Most travel components incur “extra-person charges.”  This varies depending on the property’s policies. Please inform your agent exactly how many people will be traveling with you. Failure to disclose the correct number and correct name of the travelers may result in some travel components dismissing you from the property or activity (etc.) without a refund. For most travel components ONLY registered guests are allowed. 

Exchanges 
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to communicate with your agent in advance. Do NOT, make a separate purchase for the new vacation package until you receive written confirmation via email to do so.

Refunds
If your vacation package plan is covered, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days of your Refund Approval Verdict. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Welcome to EuMelanin Travel Center. If you book a vacation package(consisting of at least two travel components) with us you will receive a complimentary itinerary for your trip.

EuMelanin Travel Center utilizes GoogleDocs for itineraries for all SOLO trips and the Spaces app for ALL group trips. You must have access to GoogleDocs to be able to view the itinerary for your trip. We will not send messages to each person about each detail in the itinerary. You will only have access to your trip's itinerary.

EuMelanin Travel Center will update your itinerary every time new information is updated through the vendor, so please check your itineraries daily(if not more). If you are traveling with a group and you request information that is beneficial to the group, the information will be added to the itinerary via the Spaces app.

EuMelanin Travel Center does sell stand-alone itineraries. A stand alone itinerary is an itinerary that does not include a vacation package purchased by EuMelanin Travel Center. EuMelanin Travel Center Stand Alone Itineraries are $25 and are non-refundable.
